Make sure you fit the selection criteria
When applying for Erasmus+ project, be sure to check who is it intended for. Check if the application form is for your country, if you are in the specified group-age, etc. If you are not sure about this information, don’t hesitate to contact the organization and ask.

Be authentic
When answering the application questions, don’t forget that people are the ones reading them. Try your best to write genuinely, from your personal experience and avoid over-generalization. Sharing short stories or mentioning facts about your life, connected to the topic makes your application engaging and more human.

Be specific
Reading the infopack will greatly help you here. Our advice is to have it opened while you are writing your application. For example if you want to express that you are interested in the topic, mention which part of the topic or why are you interested in it; how do you relate to it, etc. Providing specific details shows that you actually read the provided information.

Keep the deadlines
Almost always, there is a concrete deadline for open calls – don’t miss it. It’s even better, if you don’t wait until the last moment when applying for projects as on one hand, you would have enough time and won’t rush your answers, on the other, organizations have the right to close calls earlier if circumstances call for this.

Don’t only rely on AI
We get it – it’s much easier to ask ChatGPT (or any other AI tool) to draft your answers when applying for a project. Most of the times however, this is too obvious and shows lack of effort, unless you do some changes. As mentioned earlier, what is valued is to see the human behind the application and to get to know you through your answers. Take it as a bonus – with every application you write yourself, you further develop your brain and writing skills. As organization, focused on digital transformation we support the smart use of AI, but we also support personal development through it. Learn with AI, don’t rely on it fully.
